How to Clean Dried Milk Spills Out of Carpet
Milk dries on hard and crusty and not many people can stand the smell of spoiled milk! The quicker you can catch this mess the better as the longer it sits, the harder it is to remove. Start by blotting up the spill from the outside in with a clean white cloth. When most of the spill is taken care of you will want to make a mixture of about 2 cups warm water, 1 TBSP Dawn dish detergent and 1 TBSP of distilled white vinegar. Using a clean rag, dip it into the mixture and blot up any excess milk that may have not been removed with the initial blotting. Next you will want to take another clean cloth and cold water and blot up the spot, followed by a dry blotting to dry it as best as possible. After this is done you should sprinkle a small amount of baking soda and leave it on overnight. The following morning use a wire brush and gently loosen the baking soda then use the hose attachment on your vacuum cleaner to suck up the remains.
Cracked Egg on Carpet?
First use a dull butter knife or a credit card and scrape up as much yolk and whites as possible. Then make your mixture of 2 cups warm water, 2 tbsp of white vinegar, and 1 tbsp of Dawn dish soap and dip a clean cloth into the mixture and blot the stain. Then using lukewarm water and a clean cloth blot the spot to remove anything that may be remaining.
How to Get Crayon Stains Out of Carpet
You’ll want to gently scrape up any melted or smooshed in chunks that you can see. Next wrap an ice cube in a plastic bag and apply to refreeze the wax. Then you will need to cover the area with a clean white cloth and place a warm, NOT HOT, iron on top of the cloth. You will begin to see the color transfer onto the cloth. Next take your mixture of warm water and dawn dish soap. Soak a clean cloth in the solution, place the wet cloth on top of the stain and gently blot. Next use cool water and a clean rag to remove any cleaner left behind. If needed, repeat the process.
